Course Description
This Hoist/Crane Safety training prepares workers to safely operate hoisting and crane equipment in compliance with state and federal regulations. Participants will learn proper setup, operation, and inspection procedures, as well as gain the knowledge needed to pass state exams and earn CEUs for license renewal.
- Massachusetts Hoisting Regulations and Standards
- Review the Massachusetts laws and regulations governing hoisting equipment operations.
- Understand the requirements of Massachusetts General Laws, Department of Public Safety regulations, and Dig Safe requirements.
- Recognize the applicability of OSHA and ANSI standards to hoisting operations.
- Hoisting License 1C and 1D Requirements
- Understand the scope of equipment covered under 1C and 1D hoisting classifications.
- Review Department of Public Safety requirements for safe equipment operation.
- Prepare for state licensing examinations and continuing education requirements.
