Course Description
This course provides in-depth training for hazmat employees on developing, implementing, and maintaining a security plan in compliance with DOT regulations. Participants will learn to identify security risks, recognize potential threats, and respond effectively to security breaches during the transportation of hazardous materials.
- Understand the regulatory requirements for security plans under DOT regulations, including:
- Types and quantities of hazardous materials requiring a security plan
- Placarding requirements for specific hazardous materials
- Company security objectives and organizational security structure
- Specific security procedures, duties, and responsibilities for employees
- Recognize and respond to potential security threats, including:
- Identifying suspicious activities or behaviors
- Responding to security breaches and emergencies
- Gain awareness of security risks associated with transporting hazardous materials
